Our trip to Lincoln City

Well we had a great time in Lincoln City. We left here the 18th and went to Junction City to see Don's sister. We had a good time with her. Then we were off to Lincoln City. Nicholas called several times asking where we were and when we were going to be there. We got there the same time he got out of school. We spent time visiting then Chris had to go to work, so we took Angela and Nicholas to dinner to a 60's cafe. Tuesday we went deep sea fishing. It was so cold, and the waves were so big and choppy. Don chummed the whole time. He fed the fish while I caught them. We limited out. Well I think I caught my limit and half of his. He did catch some between barfing over the rail of the boat!! The waves were getting so big and strong you couldn't stand without being thrown across the boat or overboard!! So they had to take the boat back, then cancelled all the other boat trips for the day. So we were pretty lucky. Then that night we spent time with the kids. Nicholas came to the motel with us and I gave Chris and Angela money for a date. We swam at the Motel until I was so exausted!! Nicholas stayed there with us and slept on a cot. Wednesday we spent the whole day with the kids. Chris and Angela both had the day off, and Nicholas had no school. We went to the "Oregon Coast Aquarium". That was alot of fun. We were going to go to the Science Center but they were closed of course!! Then we had dinner at Izzy's. Since we were leaving the next morning we said our good byes. Of course I bawled and bawled and bawled.............I just hate leaving them. We got home Thursday evening. It's nice to be away yet nice to get back home. It would have been better if I could have bring my kids with me. Well Nicholas wants to live with me "forever", so he is coming the day after school. We'll see how long it lasts. He is so damn cute!!

ARRRRRR.............

Those Mariners are really making me MAD!!! They have lost to the Yankees...........I hate those damn Yankees!!!! I thought about breaking up with the Mariners, but just can't do it. I have been so faithful to them for over 15 years, when they weren't anything. So I have been with them through thick and thin and everything. I guess I will stay with them. I really do love those guys!!!

2 Days of Broken Knee...........

Well I am barely surviving this whole ordeal. I just hate not being able to do anything. I have been working out at the gym an hour before work and now I can't do that. I love working out, I have been doing it now for 3 weeks. It gives me so much more energy and makes me in a much better mood. Not that I was in a horrible mood, maybe just a little bit at times. Well I have all kinds of pretty colors on my knee and elbows now. Different colors of blues, purples, yellows and oranges. The swelling on my knee has gone down, but still some there. I can't wait to get this over with and go back to being normal, okay normal for me. I thought maybe I needed to walk it out, well that wasn't such a good idea. You know what they say, nurses make the worse patients. Oh well!!

I am so pathetic!!!

Well today while walking into work, I did a nose dive on the pavement. My arms were so full I couldn't catch myself. Therefore my full weight went down on my knee, then I slid on my elbows. Did I feel stupid or what especally since there were about 15 officers there that saw the whole thing not to mention we have camera's every where that are constantly rolling. I'm sure it will show up on You Tube any time. Every one was concerned and helped me up, but my pride was already shot. They kept asking me if I were okay and I told them "I'm fine". Well as I was walking into the instituation, my left knee was hurting so bad not to mention my elbows that looked like hamburger and bleeding. By the time I got into the medical department my knee looked like a purple baseball and I could hardly walk. So I had to fill out an entire tree's worth of paper work, then I went to urgent care. They did an x-ray and she, the nurse paractioner, said she thinks there is a crack in my knee cap and a torn Tendon but there was so much swelling and blood in the knee she couldn't say for sure. So we are treating it as though it is. I'm going to my Orthopedic Surgeon that has repaired my shoulders 4 times and my other knee just two months ago. He is going to die when he see's me coming, or pee his pants!! I am about bionic by now. Well now my nickname at work is "Tumbleina"

Okay, so I have never done this before so here it goes.

I am well, 30'ish kinda, okay maybe not. How about 50'ish. I have a wonderful significant other, Don that I love so much!! He is too good to me. Believe it or not he cleans, washes dries folds and puts away laundry, does dishes, mops floors, works in the yard, keeps the garage clean and is building a shed. Not to mention irons clothes!! I know, amazing isn't it? I think he's a keeper! My friends ask me if he has a brother, but he's one of a kind. We have a blast together. I love spending time with him. We go to the mountains and shoot the guns. I have two guns, one was my dad's and he bought me the other. It's small enough to fit in my purse and fits my hand perfectly. Don't worry, I have a concealed weapons permit. I used the gun he bought me to qualify on the shooting range. Of course I passed with flying colors since he has taught me how to shoot. We go hunting, this last season we got a forked horn buck. We cut up steaks and made a ton of jerky that is out of this world. Of course during elk season we got nothing. He did shoot two Grouse. I cooked them up for the first time in my life and they turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. He really liked them.

I have two great sons Chris and Geoff that have absolutely adorable wives Angela and Cali. I love them just like they were my daughters. I have the most beautiful grandson named Nicholas. He's going to be 7 in August. He and I have been best buddy's since he was born. Then they, Chris and Angela decided to move to Lincoln City which is 5 hours away. We both were devastated. When they told him they were moving he cried and asked, "what about memaw?" (that's what he has called me all his life), "Can she come to?". I bawled so hard when they left. My oldest son Chris is a police man in Lincoln City. My youngest son Geoff and his wife Cali live in Orem Utah, they haven't started a family yet.....(hint hint). They both are going to school full time and working full time. They're even farther away! I hate having my kids so far away. Sometimes days I cry because I miss them so much it hurts!! If I had my way I would have us all live in the same town. I love my family so much!!! They mean the world to me!! Don and I are going on vacation the third week of May. We're going to Lincoln City to see the kids. Nicholas is so excited. I can't wait to see him, oh yeah I can't wait to see Chris and Angela to. We're going to go deep sea fishing. I love to fish. Don has never fished in the Ocean so this will be an experience for him. I went a couple years ago and caught the limit of Cod and Sea Bass. It was soooooooo yummy!! We're also going to eat at "The Sea Hag" in Depot Bay. I love that place, they have the BEST fish and chips along the entire coast! Every time I go down there to see the kids I say I'm going to go there, but something always comes up and I don't make it. But this time we WILL eat there. Don has a daughter Heather that I adore!! She lives in Weiser Idaho. That's about 3 hours away from here.

I'm an RN working in a Prison after working 17 years in a hospital setting. I mostly worked in ER. I loved that, but I wanted to expand my horizons and see what else was out there for nurses. I have been there for 4 years, (I could tell storied that would curl your hair). I must admit this is completely and totally different nursing that I have ever done. I actually like it. I also teach CPR and I have just started teaching a CNA class. Now that's a challenge!!
Well, I guess that's enough of me for now. I'm sure I will think of something else to put on here.
